Dami
A fast currency converter for iPhone that keeps working offline, understands quick sums and puts a full calculator in a Home Screen widget.
The problem
Currency converters tend to fail exactly when you need them: abroad, roaming, on the underground, in airplane mode. Many also quietly show stale rates as if they were live, or bury the conversion under ads.
What we built
Dami caches the latest exchange rates on the phone, so conversion works with no connection. Rates are clearly timestamped, and the app never presents a cached rate as live.
- Built for speed. Type an amount and every saved pair updates instantly. The amount field understands simple maths like
20 + 10or100 / 4, handy for splitting a bill. - Your currencies. Add, reorder and remove as many pairs as you need, search by code, name or country, and swap direction with a tap.
- Widgets that do the work. The medium widget shows the conversion and rate age at a glance; the large widget is a full interactive calculator on the Home Screen.
- Private. No ads, no account, no subscription. Pairs and preferences sync through iCloud.
